Did Scott Morgan Apologize To Bob Ross?
I'm reading some old blogs and noticed the "open letter" apology that Scott Morgan gave to Johnny Hunt a few years ago. Brother Bob noticed an apparent change in Scott's attitude, but I wonder if Scott ever apologized to Bob Ross? He said some nasty things about Brother Bob on this blog and elsewhere.I googled Scott and found no "open letter" apology to Bob Ross. I found that odd. Why an "open letter" apology to Johnny but not Bob? Scott said when he served the Lord's Supper he examined himself and felt guilty about what he said about Johnny. Does he still serve the Lord's Supper? Does he feel guilty about the things he said about Bob?
Was his apology really grounded in guilt or was it something else? If so, why not apologize to Bob as well as Johnny? Did the apology have anything to do with the fact that Johnny had a big church and connections and could find Scott a job since Scott's "church plant" was going bottom up? Is that why Johnny got an "open letter" and Bob didn't?
What's Scott doing these days? What happened to his "church plant"? Is he still the pastor there? If not, where is he?
Just wondering.

Charles, I have not talked with Brother Scott for awhile. I think he is now on the staff of another church, maybe Johnny Hunt's -- I just can't recall. I don't care about getting an apology -- I'm just glad Scott has evidently had a change of mind and heart about some things in the past. -- Bob
Charles... this is to let you know that Scott Morgan contacted me by telephone earlier today, and made some very apologetic comments. He thought he had made an apology sometime ago when he talked with me, but wanted to make sure that I understood that he was apologizing for those past circumstances.
He also wanted you to understand that he is working with Johnny Hunt's church in Woodstock (Georgia) and he is very sincere in his apologies to Johnny Hunt also.
I think Bro. Scott is furnishing a good example that might well be followed by many of those who in some way were involved in past skirmishes concerning Calvinism. We need to all get along regardless of our differences. -- Bob
I'm glad Scott finally got around to you Brother Bob. I guess his church finally went under water. Since it was based on the heresy of Scott's "born again before faith" theology I wouldn't have expected it to do very well. I guess the elect wasn't getting elected fast enough!
I trust he has now dropped his "born again before faith" heresy. As you have pointed out many times, this is the source of much error and I would hate to see it infect Johnny Hunt's church.
Brother Hunt has a lot of grace but I bet he keeps a close eye on Scott.

Charles and Bob,
Hope both of you are doing well. Hope both of you are doing the work of an evangelist and discipling those who come to faith in Christ (through) the preaching of the Scriptures and the drawing of the Spirit. Charles, while I don't agree with you on the doctrines of grace please know that I hope whatever ministry your involved with sees much fruit. Also, I apologize to you as well if I ever was cruel to you. Hope one day we can see the SBC working together and seeing brothers who would be Charleston/Sandy Creek get along with modern day SBC people. I have no fight with you or Bob at all...I hope your ministry in whatever local church your a member of flourishes.
Charles,
I forgot to add that you are right that Pastor Johnny should keep a close eye on me...he is the Pastor and that his his duty. It's great to be back serving under him again. He is the " Real Deal". I see soooooooo much compassion in him plus how he trains two young men each year that are called into the ministry...incredible. Though I'm so impressed with his ministry...I have really come to like and love Johnny Hunt the person.Maybe Pastor Johnny will let me tell the story on how God brought Great reconciliation between us. The Spirit of God through the Word soooooooo softened my heart and allowed me to see things about Pastor Johnny that I was so blind to.
I try to stay away from the blogs these days. We have seen so much hurt by them in the SBC. They can be used to teach sound doctrine and edify the Church when used properly. If I could change what I wrote in the past then I would. We reap what we sow. Again, please accept my sincere apology for attacking you and Bob...Yes we disagree but we are together for the Gospel.
Scott,
Thank you for your comments. You are most kind.
So unlike Al Mohler, you believe a person can be committed to the gospel and not be a Reformed Calvinist?
