Frank Page on Divisive Calvinists
When asked about challenges facing the SBC, the President of the Executive Committee of the Southern Baptist Convention responded: Calvinism!Bob Ross and I have been saying the same thing for years. Now Frank Page is all over it.
Read about his remarks on Peter Lumpkins blog here and here.
Peter says, "divisiveness between Calvinists and non-Calvinists stems in part from men with little to no integrity who attempt to sneak into churches unawares with a specific but unexpressed agenda to convert a non-Calvinist church to the "reformed" faith."
It's time for action. The Convention is at risk. Help us, Frank, help us! May I suggest that we begin by putting pastors in charge of institutions that are supposed to be training pastors?

FOUNDERS' "CALVINISM" IS NOT
CREEDAL CALVINISM
Charles, I suppose Dr. Page has in mind the type of "Calvinism" advocated by the Founders and the modern Reformed Pedobaptists (baby baptizers).
Awhile back, the Flyswatter pointed out that Flounders/Reformed "Cavlinism" is a HYBRID and is not the Creedal view.

Brother Bob, Hello!
I'm certain he has the Flounders and their Flounder-friends in mind. I doubt Frank Page would have a problem with Charles Spurgeon and his love for souls and soul-winning. As you have pointed out, the Flounders are nothing like Spurgeon.
Sadly, the hybrid/hyper/extreme Calvinism of the Flounders is now what passes for de facto Calvinism in SBC seminaries and universities. Most young Calvinists hold to the heresy of regeneration before faith without even knowing how it kills evangelism and soul winning.
